Android TV takes centre stage at IBC2019, and visitors will see 3READY’s integration with Google in a range of Android TV demos.
This year, 3SS’ increasingly sought-after front end UI framework solution will be shown as reference Android TV Custom Launcher. 3READY will also be featured in Google’s Live TV Sports and Dynamic Ad Insertion showcase, as well as in the Google Assistant and Google Play Movies integration demos.
3READY Android TV with Dynamic Ad Insertion – Dynamic Ad Insertion enables operators to monetize Android TV inventory and to grow ad revenues with personalized programmatic ad insertion for live streams and VOD, all fully integrated and managed from Google Ad Manager 360. The result is a seamless, personalized and measurable experience with content and ads that are relevant to the user.
Android TV’s Live TV Sports Showcase – Harmonic, Android TV, Technicolor and 3SS will show one of the first integrated OTT and broadcast live sports workflows in an Android TV environment, delivering essential tailored features such as picture-in-picture, multi-view and personalized mosaic. The companies will demonstrate how operators can now deliver personalized, low-latency live sports experiences on OTT and hybrid STBs using Harmonic’s VOS® cloud-native live video platform, a UHD STB and the 3READY Custom Launcher.
3READY Android TV with Google Play Movies integration – This turnkey solution enables viewers to explore all 500,000+ movies and shows from Android TV’s TVOD offering through Google Play Movies and TV, without ever having to leave an operator’s custom launcher environment.
By offering Google Play Movies directly via the 3READY-enabled custom launcher, the operator is empowered to bring the hottest, most relevant content closer to the user to browse and purchase or rent.
Using the 3READY Control Center customer experience management tool, Google Play Movies content can be selected and placed anywhere within the custom launcher and/or multiscreen apps.
Moreover, by making this user experience so seamless, with no need to leave the operator-branded environment, and with minimal user effort, uptake is encouraged, and brand affinity is uninterrupted.
3READY Assistant: the power of voice unleashed – 3SS will publicly demonstrate for the first time its recently launched 3READY Assistant, which enables maximum control and branding opportunities for Android TV via cloud integration.
3READY Assistant utilizes the Google Assistant in Android TV integrations to expand its offering to TV Operators. Operators gain more management options and choice about how their content is prioritized. It also provides the freedom to create bespoke value-adding commands to trigger a range of actions, all enabled when the user has a conversation with the Google Assistant.
Furthermore, IBC visitors can try out 3READY-enriched Technicolor Audio Wizard far-field voice assistance device, jointly devised with Technicolor, which makes searching for content hands-free.
