Stuttgart, Germany – 7 September, 2022 3 Screen Solutions (3SS) IBC2022 stand 5.A83 leader in software for set-top boxes (STB) and multiscreen entertainment, will have its biggest-ever show presence at IBC 2022. After the three-year hiatus from face-to-face events, the acknowledged user experience trailblazer will demonstrate an unprecedented array of customer deployments and empowering technology partnership integrations. These are all part of the multiple award winning 3Ready Entertainment Ecosystem, the largest technology ecosystem of its kind in the world.

3SS reimagines in-car entertainment at IBC

3SS will showcase the future of in-car digital entertainment for the first time at IBC. The company has brought a “Polestar 2” car to Amsterdam, parked it in the outside exhibit area (0.C32), and visitors are invited to take a seat and experience its 3Ready-powered automotive experience, based on the Android Automotive Operating System (AAOS).

In-vehicle displays are the next touch points to enjoy video entertainment on the go, in addition to all the familiar screens. 3Ready enables operators and carmakers to bring entertainment to any in-car infotainment system. UX can be adjusted and targeted dynamically, with the ability to curate all content including third-party apps. The result is superior entertainment enjoyment for all the car’s occupants. 3SS has two projects with car manufacturers to date.

All-new 3Ready Control Center takes center stage

3Ready Control Center 3.0 is 3SS’ all-new, SaaS experience management solution. Highly visual and intuitive, with this centralized, one-stop solution, anyone can curate a highly personalized and unified experience across all screens. More members of an operator’s content curation and marketing teams can use 3Ready Control Center to easily target, manage, and visually optimize UX to increase customer retention. Operators benefit from real-time management over presentation of content, features and branding of all service and device apps from one unified location.

A/B testing is the most direct and powerful way to gauge viewers’ tastes, and can be performed with high automation, individually or by customer segment. Experiments with new features can be conducted rapidly, and adaptations done fast, with confidence.

3Ready Control Center’s dashboards have easy-to-use functions and intuitive navigation that don’t require technical know-how. This reduces dependence on tech specialists. Editors can make necessary UI/UX adaptations in a visual way, and all the operator’s apps automatically retrieve and apply them without code changes. Demos of the latest integrations for transformational UX

The 3SS booth (5.A83) will feature an unprecedented demonstration array of enabling technical integrations with world technology leaders. These include, among others:

Targeted Advertisements: 3SS will showcase a solution integrated into the 3Ready platform that enables operators to speedily deploy linear ad insertion on OTT and hybrid STBs and provide a seamless ad experience (Live to Ad) to their customers. It’s agnostic to any ad solution or ad network with cross-device control over the advertising experience to enable ad-supported business models.

KAON, 3SS and Green Streams: KAON (stand 1.B51), 3SS and Green Streams (stand 5.B37) have co-created a new pre-integrated end-to-end technology platform so that Tier 2 and medium-sized providers can rapidly and economically deliver super-aggregated video services based on Android TV. The new turnkey solution comprises Green Streams’ TVaaS backend platform, powerful yet competitively priced KAON Netflix Certified STB and advanced 3Ready UX. Tier 2 and mid-sized providers can therefore fast-track service launches and revenues.

3Ready Control Center with ContentWise for Allente: Nordic pay-TV giant Allente has become the first operator to deploy 3Ready Control Center 3.0. This project is key enabling next step in the roadmap of Allente’s next-generation super-aggregated TV services for Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. Allente and its customers will also benefit from seamless integration of 3Ready Control Center 3.0 with ContentWise’s UX Engine (stand 5.C65). This tech combination increases customer engagement with user experiences personalized in real-time.

New Tele2 Tv Hub Mini: 3SS and SEI Robotics Inc. (stand 5.F64) joined forces for Swedish operator Tele2 AB’s new Tv Hub Mini, a high-spec 4K dongle for OTT (over-the-top) TV. Based on Android TV OS, subscribers enjoy a custom 3SS-engineered user experience powered by 3Ready –in 3SS’ first major operator dongle deployment. The SEI Robotics 4K dongle delivers Netflix, and many other streaming apps and TV channels.

3SS with ThinkAnalytics: ThinkAnalytics (stand 1.A74) and 3SS will debut their new pre-integrated solution that transforms UX testing and optimization, helping operators increase engagement and reduce churn. 3Ready Control Center is now pre-integrated with Think360, ThinkAnalytics’ content discovery and analytics platform, allowing operators to deploy user experiences that maximize monetization opportunities by taking a data-driven approach to continuous improvement. Editors, marketers and curators need no technical expertise, lowering costs, and accelerating time-to-market, and actionable insights empower operators to give their customers the entertainment UX they truly desire.
